Everything which is shredded by Archive Services is sent to a paper mill where it is pulped before being shipped to Europe as part of the recycling process. It will soon return to the UK in the form of toilet paper or new copier paper. Your certificate of destruction also confirms that the shredded material has been recycled.
Also, where possible, ARchive Service can return Leaver Arch Files, Box Files, Plastic wallets, and any other re-usable stationary recovered during the shredding process or the starage process. This can reduce stationary bills and can help the environment as well. Ask a member of staff with regards to this process for more information.
